So we first met while we were both waiting on the squat rack. We started talking/flirting then once it opened up we worked in together. Ever since she'd come say hi and we would talk for a bit. One day while we were talking between sets some other dude walked up and tried to talk to her and she said she had a boyfriend. This obviously set off some alarm bells but maybe she said it so he would go away? I've been pretty overt about my intentions and this is the first time she said anything.

When you state that you were pretty "overt about your intentions", does that mean that you did tell her straight to her face that you would want to fornicate with her or did you simply flirt?

Those are 2 very distinctive approaches and I can imagine that this new guy talking to her did not use the same vocabulary as you do or the same body language.

In any case, the fact that she simply talks to you does not mean that she is interested in anything deeper and I would take the hint that she has a boyfriend and take a step back in your attempts.
