Women with more voluptuous figures are just naturally more eye-catching than skinny or slim women. That is assuming voluptuousness doesn't equal a big belly. Clothes may not look more stylish on them... but everything does stick out nicer (bum, butt, hips)
It's usually the thick women who have the big boobs or the big pronounced butts. It's rare to find a skinny women with big breasts so in other words its more so the assets thick women have than anything else.
Feels good to be a pear.
But no I don't think it is the new standard, it's just more accepted now so you see thick women in media now more often. I don't think that makes you any less attractive.
There has been absolutely nothing sudden about it -- full figured women have been regarded as the most desirable women for a long time.
Victorian women wore corsets for that
I've never felt more attractive than at 2-3 months pregnant. But never as whalelike at 9. :)
I think there is a lot of happy medium in the thin to thick spectrum but a lot of unhealthy territory at the extremes.
Men have always been attracted to thicker women especially if it is in the right places. However slim girls are still attractive. Beautiful women come in all shapes and sizes so I wouldn’t worry about it too much.
All the sugar we put in our food made it hard to be anything else, so the majority claimed the narrative. But thin girls will always be considered top tier and the more rare they are the more sought after they will be.
Because "thick" is now a euphemism for fat, chubby, and sometimes obese. You can thank critical theory and the body positivity technocrats for this. Another word I despise is "curvy".
I wouldn't say thick has replaced thin for the new standard of beauty, I think both are acceptable and thick girls have simply joined the standard.
The irony in this is that women themselves have created the illusion that thick women are the standard, by liking and following and financially supporting women like Kim Kardashian. There are a few men who fetishize women with dodies like hers, but the vast majority of us men prefer normal women with normal bodies.
And? Women can think of beautiful bodies in a different way from men. We don’t think about our bodies as tools to pleasure your eyes we can set our standards how we prefer. Also no such thing as a “normal body” thick bodies are normal too :)

It's all in your head. Guys like thin girls just as much. It's more about your figure anyway. I don't like a thick apple shaped girl and I don't like a square shaped thin girl.

People just have different tastes and there's plenty of people who liked skinny girls, too.
Something to grab honestly. If your so thin that you barley have a body it's not attractive anymore. Men want more booty and boobs to touch.
Guys like curves (hip:waist ratio of 0.7 is ideal) but not rolls of fat. The problem most of the disgusting fat pigs like Lizzo erroneously claim they are "thick" or "curvy" but outside of a few fetishist weirdos no guy prefers that.
In history mainstream beauty 'standards' had changed several times.
If now fat is preferred, I am happy.
Because it means: less competition for me.

Beauty standards keep changing.
They don't define you, and that's important to remember.
And don't worry, the 2000s slim model standards will most likely come back in near future.
I think the overall increase in weight for society has caused a shift of narrative in the media, but most guys want to be a healthy weight and want a girl that is slim.

DEEP down inside, male instincts take over and those instincts want you, not a cow.
I think when a guy says thick he want a girl with curves with big tits and big ass. I not sure how it came to be such ( I blame Kim Kardashian lol) I more attracted to slim or athletic girls with long legs (Taylor Swift).
Body beauty trends continue to change. Every body type was once popular and will be again. Body trends are designed for you to hate yourself. Be you however you are, just don't be obese and you're cool
