I'm black and I must admit that I used to feel bad about my skin color/tone. But it wasn't around pale girls, it was around mixed race girls (black and white). That was a long time ago. Now, I know that there's nothing wrong with me, even though society tells me the opposite.

It's not about my skin tone, it's about my skin color. Well, we live in a world where being white or light skinned is praised. Dark skinned people are often discriminated, beaten up and sometimes killed, just for being who they are.
I live in a western country where most people are white.

It means that I used to feel inferior around mixed race women. Women who have a white parent and a black parent.
