As a dark skinned girl how do you feel about it and how has your experience especially when mostly the society is obsessed with light/fairer skin tone?

Love it. It's more aesthetic and sexy in my opinion

Have grown to accept it since much can't be done about it

My first girlfriend in US was black and I adored her. She is one of the few exes I remember so fondly. We met in uni during freshman year in an English literature course. Unfortunately, after graduating, we went in such separate paths for work. She stayed in the East Coast of US while I had great opportunities in the West Coast to work for film industries in Hollywood. On top of that, I had longing to return to Japan. We talked about marriage and with her getting a passport so that she can come stay with me in Japan, but it never panned out. But I still think she was the most lovely of my ex girlfriends. It is probably bad for a married man to say this but I occasionally miss her.

I am also kind of dark for Japanese; maybe on the darker side of olive skin. I am not pale-skinned type. I at least get dark tan from spending lots of time outdoors.

I have and I think they are lovely! I think also ginger girl with the palest pink skin and freckles is also lovely. I just don't really think about it the difference that much. Definitely I'm aware about the absolute difference but I find beauty in many colors. If you'll forgive my sexual crudeness, it is as exciting to me to be in doggystyle position in front of a freckled ultra-white woman as it is super dark African woman. It's all very exciting to me.

How do I feel about what? I think that colorism is dumb I've personally seen and heard darker women's beauty being discredited because of color. "She's too dark, too black" just stuff people would leave dark girls alone but we are always the butt of the joke especially in my community where people hate their blackness and being black bc they're the furthest thing from white.

Yes the black community goes very hard on dark skin black women funniest thing is the dark black men usually initiate the hate. They equate darkness with ugly, loud, rude, crass, every bad thing. Yes I used to want to be a biracial, light skin light eyes loose hair. I've accepted that I will always be last place.

I hated myself for a while used bleach, scrubbed my skin hard like it was a sin I was 8 when I noticed the darker you were the worse people will treat you.

In my community the men typically go for lighter even though I date white bc they seem to appreciate my color, sometimes lighter women will act superior towards you. If you are beautiful they will become angry.

It's natural, the darker the more melanin, the sun loves melanin. The darker the shinier I use baby oil but straight out of the shower I reflect light.

And dark men prefer paler women, but do the white women accept/like dark men... since they try to act superior to/around a dark woman why would they want/like and be attracted to a dark black man?

Not generally white, mainly light women from my community. If a white woman has a complex towards me it's simply because I am black (bottom of the totem pole)

For lighter black women, it is because they're praised over us, chosen over us which may boost their confidence. For white women it's usually fetish (BBC) and praise over black women which makes them feel superior especially usually because that white woman was rejected by her own.

Light skin black women are black so yes they do use those things too. White men who date black women which isn't common do like dark skin, all shades really. However light is closer to white so they will pick from the lighter women first.
