I like being a brown skinned woman. My experience has been a positive one. I do get compliments especially in the summer on my skin, when I'm not suffering from a breakout lol
I love being African :D

It has its ups and downs, but overall, I enjoy being a black woman. Obviously, I've faced racism, but nothing traumatic; I tend to get along with everyone as long as they treat me with respect and vice versa. I'll put it this way: I don't face as much racism as society and social media portray, but enough to realize it's still an issue even today.
As for dating and relationships? Oh it sucks, lol. Put it this way, men like me, but not enough to date me- not even black men! I told my friends past horror stories where men, and even women just wanting to be friends, stopped talking to me when they realized I was black. That's pathetic : They loved my personality, hanging out with me, even had some candidly admit that if I wasn't black, they'd love to date me, but they could never date a black woman. Which yes, is their right but still... it stung.
So I guess it depends on one's luck. I see some black women that have no issues with dating, and then you have some like me that seem to have atrocious luck with dating and relationships.
Yes, there's so many stereotypes that us black women have to face from society. We have to constantly prove ourselves everyday that we are not that. I have to constantly make sure I exercise, eat well and just be better to get treated right. Things are not just handed to us black women just because we're black, we literally have to work our buts off for everything we have. I know I do.
No I don't. It may be harder but there are many light/paled women who are in terrible shape. Some are druggies and homeless in the streets. Just because you're light/pale doesn't mean you'll have a good life.
I never had an issue dating wise because I'm attractive. When you're attractive that trumps color. I've had men who don't normally like black women like me simply because I'm attractive.
Plenty... im 5"7, 126 pounds. I exercise 6 days a week. I workout at home.
No weight training just cardio... I run for an hour a day and maybe a little ab workout... I never felt nervous around a pale guy haha. What kind of question is that? it is awkward when someone doesn't normally like people who are my skin tone but finds me attractive.
Yes, mainly white.
I prefer white
Just took a look at your profile and wanted to say you’re attractive!
@TallGuy8383 awe thank you ❤️❤️
I probably have no business commenting on this because I am white, but I would like to say that I think women of color look beautiful when they wear yellow, or 🍑 peach colored clothes. The pastel's look pretty on you. 🙂🌹☮️
In my school that is predominantly whites, I do feel like an outsider, but I've learned to love it and say: Yeah, I would NEVER want to burn in the sun like y'all mofos.
Yeah, have you noticed how when your people loot stores, they never steal sunscreen?
Seriously I’m white 5 seconds in the sun and BOOM I’m super sunburnt
My bad I put the wrong comment I meant to say that’s just dumb. Nobody should be judged on their skin color.
@MadamLovesALot you turn dark brown / as dark as woman in pic above?
I feel like dark skin women are too hard on themselves. I think black women get a very harsh stereo type because of the black culture of ratchetness. People tend to think black women have attitude problems and only want to twerk , eat hot Cheetos have kids for child support money. That is not true. I love black women regardless of yhe color. I love their strength and how they hold their heads high when the would throws negative men and opinions their way.
If you believe you're a victim, appearance and location become irrelevant. For instance, I visited a club where two white girls mentioned they exclusively date black guys. I wasn't bothered; I moved on.
In 2023, people label dislikes as racism, preferences as racism, and choices as racism. It seems like by 2030, even selecting the wrong food might be considered food racism.
The term "racist" seems to have lost its meaning due to overuse, overplay, and abus3.
