I saw that my girlfriends phone had died. So I went ahead and put it on the charger for her. Well when I put it on the charger it said it had 30% still. So that means she turned her phone off before she got home. Why would she do that?

Maybe because it was getting low battery when she left wherever she was at and she decided to turn it off then so if there was an emergency and she needed it she would still have some juice left when she turned it on. This sounds like a massive overthink. If you have no reason to be suspicious about what she is doing or who she is talking to then don't make a big deal outta nothing. Just because someone turned their phone off doesn't mean they are hiding anything which is the vibe I get from you.

Not sure. I turn my phone off if I know I'm not going to be able to charge it and it's going to die by the time I need it again. It's bad for your phone battery to let it just die.
