Why do people associate the colour pink with femininity?

That's because it wasn't until after World War II that pink came to be equated with femininity. People formed that association largely because it was first lady Mamie Eisenhower's favorite color. Not for any special reason, though; she supposedly just liked the way it set off her skin tone and pretty blue eyes.💞
Is pink associated with femininity?
The color pink, for example, is thought to be a calming color associated with love, kindness, and femininity. Many people immediately associate the color pink with all things feminine and girly. 💞

What does the color pink symbolize?
The color pink is the color of universal love of oneself and of others. Pink represents friendship, affection, harmony, inner peace, compassion, nurturing and approachability. Both red and pink represent love. The color red represents heat and passion, while the color pink represents romance and charm. 💞
i think we can blame most of it on marketing really. going all the way back to how we separate our kids things between blue for males and pink for females.
here ya go found this on google: "People formed that association largely because it was first lady Mamie Eisenhower’s favorite color. Not for any special reason, though; she supposedly just liked the way it set off her skin tone and pretty blue eyes."
"Movie star (and mother to Law & Order: SVU's Mariska Hargitay) Jayne Mansfield immediately latched onto the color and the mentality that went along with it. The baby-voiced, super voluptuous movie star—billed as "Marilyn Monroe, King Sized" in 1954—may have represented a different kind of femininity than Mamie did, but she was just as determined to show there was nothing masculine about her.
She wore lots and lots of pink. She drove a pink car, got married in a pink gown, lived inside a pink mansion, and dyed her pets’ fur pink. She also had pink shag carpeting surrounding her heart-shaped bathtub. She explained that this was because "men want a girl to be pink, helpless, and do a lot of deep breathing." Statements like Jayne’s, along with Mamie’s general attitude, formed a connection in people’s minds between a woman wearing pink and a woman being a delicate creature."

I love pink, not because it’s feminine but because it’s youthful and optimistic and lively.
I uses to wear pink glasses as a part of my style,
at the beach, people who didn’t know me called me “A girl with pink glasses”
haha
I like pink, cause I have intense, sharp facial features and I like to smoothen them and makes them less intimidating with color pink.
Pink is the colour people associate with vanity, gentleness and affection and those are traits most people associate with young females. I find pink is usually a colour people associate with women under 21 cause as people become adults, career ambition replaces Barbie’s and stuffed animals, and red or purple become associated with women instead of pink.

It is a "warm" color and people associate warm colors with comfort, which reminds most people of being held by their mother. And people associate lighter colors with naivete and youth. So a light warm color is associated with young girls. Whereas "cold" colors are associated with duty and stubbornness, which reminds most people of their father.
Due to what is exclusive to all females.
What color is the vagina? ... even in black females inside?
... just saying
No, to me Pink is just a cool color, my favorite color. I just look at it and think wow, it looks so good. I mean culturally speaking blue=boy and pink=girl, but why should that matter, it’s just colors
Mostly cultural and commercial, but I agree, no clue why it's a thing. I like pink. I won a pink plush bunny at the fun fair yesterday, I love it.
There ya go, pink but not feminine 😂
its cos of a former first lady in the 50s or something that made it become the girl color. before it actually was a manly color
Interesting question. Maybe it’s the same reason why most names with soft vowels and end with an “a” are considered more ladylike. Like “dom” compared to “Dina” or “Joseph” compared to “Josie”.
Colour theory goes a long way, but it's very cultural. For example, green bread would remind is of it being spoiled, yet in China it's everywhere and on purpose. In the 1800s blue and pink for boys and girls were swapped at some point too.
No idea I have pink furniture and I am not very feminine
Pink was actually a man color but women captured it from us then the world accepted pink as a feminine color
It was a marketing strategy introduced over 100 years ago by USA companies. Prior to that boys wore pink
as we see in photographs in 1800s?
Correct:
Here is a part of an online post when you Google it…
For example, a June 1918 article from the trade publication Earnshaw's Infants' Department said, “The generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl.”
maybe because is soft and warm in colour.. I like pink i have a few soft pink dress shirts..
Like I sign all my notes to my wife at the end "Love and kisses on all your little pink parts".🤣
because most female like the color pick
thats a good question, but i dont have the answer
Maybe coz many of us choose it as favourite
because of barbie dolls dresses.
It was decided before I was born so i don't know
It's only been since the 1920s.
