find out where their thoughts are coming from then have someone else call the police. i was in uniform a year ago and had a person at a store walk up and say they were suicidal so i talked to them for a bit then talked her into going to the hospital from the store.

I would refuse. Even if I have a signed consent form from the person, lots of witnesses around and everyone is willing to testify that I was given direct consent to execute the person; I can't imagine the court would view the situation as anything but a murder.

A person capable of walking up to me to ask to die probably isn't in a dire enough situation to make it a mercy killing.

I would hog tie them and call the cops to take them to the mental hospital. Cowards who make other people kill them are despicable. Like people who jump off overpasses or run onto the freeway and get hit by a random car, people who make the cops kill them, etc. They don't think about the people's lives they ruin, they just think about themselves.

Put them on the ground "for their safety". All stocked up on crazy here, don't need someone else pedaling their brand of it on my doorstep, and nothing about that screams "mental health success."
