Guys & girls of GAG - how long can someone else go without communicating with you before you cease to really care about them?

Say it's a friend who is a bad communicator. How long would you try reaching out or engaging them in conversation with little to no response before you say screw them.

When I know they aren't going to bother. Which varies a bit. My friend here, we have days we don't talk but naturally at some point we are Messaging each other.
My bestfriend welp we went a whole year without talking for no actual reason like a couple year ago granted we've never done that again but neither of us were upset at each other we just had things going I guess. But I knew we would get back in contact.

But then I have a long list of people who I hate because they just left randomly. And I stopped caring when I realised they aren't coming back. Though that realisation hits at different times I think.
I think the biggest sign is when they are obviously active and messaging others but won't acknowledge your existence. At that point I just block them and be done with it.

So I guess the answer is it highly depends? Multiple factors tell me it's unlikely they care so then why should I.

Depends how much I like their personality and how unique I consider it, I make space for people that are broken as well even when a woman gets mad at me I grew the patience to just bled them cool off first before making any rash decisions, there's always a limit of course and someone can only stick around long enough til they are tired of the lack of progression.
