Making new friends is on the list for one, not replacing but new ones
I am not needy by no means. I love my alone time and privacy, but I’ve noticed 2 of my close friends, one in which I’m much closer to is always distanced. She says that she is just in her head all the time and knows we all have our own lives. She says she’s comfortable that there’s no love lost because when we hang out, it’s like there’s been no time passed. I agree but I feel like time is being wasted.
She can sometimes go 1-2 months without us talking if I don’t reach out, YET she says I’m a friend she would never want to lose and would feel sad if she lost me. Holidays like Valentine’s Day pasts and I’d want to do Galentines, but if I don’t purpose it likely won’t happen.
I just don’t know how this is a friendship if that much time is going by before we talk, FaceTime, or hang out. I would really be satisfied if even it were just 2 times a month we had one really solid conversation.
I understand where she’s coming from but I feel like she’s losing me sometimes

Time to possibly lend some understanding, patience and tolerance. Life gets in the way of such things at times. Everything should be put on a scale of Good vs Bad. When the Good outweighs the bad “ figure it out and work through it. When the Bad outweighs the good, have the courage and determination to walk away!!
Good advice
Just let the friendship be on hold. My age most friends have kids. So those kids take all Thier life till they get a free day and vacation.
Thank you
You step back until the reach out to you.
That’s my only choice. It’s unfulfilling for me, but I don’t see it as worth cutting off
