Girl won't make eye contact, what does this mean?

I was dancing with a girl the other night, and I had (and still don't have) any idea as to whether or not she likes me. Until that moment, we hadn't talked very much, and I was surprised she was willing to dance with me. After some nice conversation - getting to know each other a little bit, we stopped talking and kept dancing, but she kept looking away and avoiding eye contact. (In general, our interaction was positive, and had gone well) Was she nervous? Or did I screw up? What does this mean?

The question is: What did you talk about and how personal were your questions?

I can imagine that she felt uncomfortable after you talked because if she does not make eye contact, that would mean that something about either your behavior or what you said is disturbing her.

She could be shy but I don't think that this is the reason. A shy person is not likely to just dance if being asked.

The best and only way to know for sure is to ask her and based upon her answers, you should be able to determine what the possible cause of her behavior is.
