Hey ladies I know there is a stereotype that women tell there friends everything about their man but if he genuinely asks you to keep a secret would you respect it?

Tell them everything as in what? What is the harm in telling my friends he surprised me with a nice dinner out? Why would that be upsetting? Honestly someone has to be really insecure to worry about what I share with people. They have to be even more insecure to then ask me to not share things with my friends. Like what exactly does he think I'm going to tell them that is so bad and damaging? I don't gossip about things that would make him feel bad or hurt his feelings if he found out what I said. It isn't going to stop me from talking about a great weekend away or night out. Why would that matter to him in the first place?
