-a guy pretty good looking but you dont want to say that outright for reasons so you'll put kinda in front of cute

- a dude is vaguely good looking (like around a 6.0 or so/10) but not good looking enough to just say he's good looking

- a guy is bland or ugly and you dont want to be honest also for reasons but you dont want to lie too much so you'll just say he's kinda cute
