Of course it is. Why would you even think this way. Are you planning on doing such a thing in the near future? Wow. If you even have to ask you KNOW it's not right. Unless the dad is a criminal or very immoral/bad, then he DOES have a right to know. Unless you were raped, then under any other circumstance, it's just wrong! If this man ever sleeps with you unprotected, then he's probably going to think in the back of his mind that there's a chance you could get pregnant. Only if you don’t tell him the truth about what you are doing , that would make you a cold hearted person , but if you are honest with him and give him a choice , then it leaves it up to him on what he wants to do , it’s better to be honest then not honest at all, especially when it comes to sex and making babies , So you are best to tell him the truth that you just want a sperm donor but nothing else , you are probably best to go get artificial insinuation so you don’t have to deal with any drama , if he decides he wants to be part of that babies life or make it clear to him that you will not come after him for child support etc. If you clearly don’t want him part of the babies life.

You can't deprive him of his parental rights if he learns that he is the father. He can sue for visitation and it will likely be granted. Of course if he does then her will be liable for support.
