Question, is it wrong to want to baby a man?

Weird, I know. But My mother has always said it wasn't a good idea to want to baby a man, and of course! You wouldn't want said person to use that aginst you or something. However, I've been feeling all "Let's go baby that man" and on multiple occasions, I've told my mom how I wanted to baby/pamper my significant other if I was to ever get one. Her response to what I'd said was a small rant as to why it was a bad idea to want to do that for a man... But truly, is it wrong? Just needed a second opinion on this topic.

That all depends on whether you're looking for a plaything or a partner. By acting like a mother, he'll respond as a child, as you're implying he can't do for himself. Do you really want someone you have to take care of? The only way you'll get an adult-adult relationship is to be an adult and treat him as an adult. You'll only get childish, immature patterns if you choose to be his mommy. If you act like the child, he'll control you as a parent.

Well, what exactly do you mean by "baby"? Many women have strong nurturing instincts, and it's hardly unusual for them to extend beyond children to other people you care about. Just have a mind to the way a given person reactions to your ministrations, back down when you're bothering them, and don't let yourself get taken advantage of, and you should do okay.

I think it depends. There’s nothing wrong with showing your significant other appreciation but it definitely shouldn’t be a one sided action. You should only give what you get.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it you just want to do it in moderation or in what's considered reasonable. You don't want to overdo it you know? And of course make sure you receive what you give, after all you don't want a partner that takes but never gives.

Depends what you mean by "baby". It's NEVER wrong to care about another person. But yes, in certain ways you can do a man a great disservice by "babying" him.

It's probably OK at your age. But your mom just doesn't want any guy you end up with getting too comfortable. A MAN always needs to be a Man!
