To Christians I need a bit of help regarding abortion or pro choice regardless of circumstances as a Christian?

I was once all anti-abortion regardless of circumstances then I changed to a woman having a right to not have a child of a person that raped her or incest occurred (which these circumstances are very rare, 1% of occurrence).

I still hold a woman shouldn't be forced to birth the seed of her rapist or if disgusting incest took place but the abortion must happen while the fetus is still just cells in the womb otherwise once the fetus starts to form body parts, I would be against abortion at that point without exception.

I want to be right with God, and God considers a baby in the womb a human life but the context Exodus 21:21-25 suggests the baby has already bodily formed and if a man happend to hit a woman during a fight and the baby died in the womb then he must die also.

So my question is am I wrong as a Christian to support pro choice under the rare circumstances a raped woman should have to give birth to the child of a rapist or in case of incest assuming the abortion is going to take place at a very early stage of the pregnancy?

It's been obvious for quite a while that you have been conflicted between what were obviously your very conservatives values, and what has become an increasingly liberal set of beliefs for you in recent years. It's been a case study in cognitive dissonance for sure.

The issue of abortion is a complicated one. There's no question abortion is taking a human life, and it should be obvious why that's a bad thing. But that has to be weighed against the fact that a woman having a child she doesn't want can wreak havoc with her life, and that's a tough thing to reconcile.

One of the biggest problems is that abortion has just become another form of birth control. Study after study has shown that about 95% of the roughly 1 million abortions in the US every year are done as a matter of convenience for the mother, not for health concerns and certainly not for any reason related to her body. It's about "her life, her choice", NOT "her body, her choice" as feminists claim.

But feminists can't say that because it opens up a huge can of worms, since the fathers of those unborn children have lives too, and might not be ready to become fathers for all the same reasons 95% of mothers abort their children.

There is also the issue of when "life begins". Technically, of course, it begins at conception, but feminists argue it begins at birth, which of course is absurd. Arguing that a child who was just born should have a right to live but a child who is due in a day or two doesn't is disgusting, and is one of the reasons have zero respect for modern feminism.

If I were king of the world, this is what would happen. Mothers would have the right to abort for any reason up to 15 weeks, after which they would need to have a valid medical or other qualified reason (e. g., the pregnancy was the result of rape or incest) for the abortion.

Fathers would have the right to legally and financially opt out of fatherhood IF they make their choice known to the mother early enough that she could make an informed decision about whether to abort or carry the pregnancy to term knowing she will be a single mother. That, of course, would mean the mother would be legally obligated to tell the father she is pregnant with his child, something that is NOT required today, which is a travesty. If she fails to tell the father she is pregnant by the deadline, the father has no legal or financial obligations... unless he chooses to.

There you have it, my worldview on abortion.

its completely understandable to see how how messed up it must be for the woman to have to raise a child but the fact that it's still an innocent child stands, at that point the child is paying for the sins of the father and i guess it would all depend on how you look at it, if raped victims can give birth and put them up for adoption, i believe they should have a good reward for being strong enough to give birth to that child, i dont think they should raise it if they dont want too but we can't just say that because they are raped victims that the baby isn't another life and its not another living soul cause it is, if anything cut it short before it forms into a fetus, but if you are asking how god sees it, i dont know, because god hates adultery but he loves life so its hard to say and i dont want to speak for god cause I don't know

Yes, abortion under any circumstances is killing a child and wrong in God's eyes. That said, if we reduced abortion to only those rare incidents we would still be far better off furthering the cause. Even though it's still not all the way, I would be content with having ONLY those as exceptions.

You are wrong in saying a women who is raped should abort the child or in the case of incest. The baby is a baby regardless of how it was conceived. Two wrongs don’t make a right it is wrong for that rapist to have raped woman. And the rapist should be castrated and killed in the case of incest. It is almost 100% of the time, rape but still don’t have a ride to kill that child. I understand the sympathy because rape is horrible and tragic but it’s still a child of god and you don’t have the right to kill it no matter what.

If you are raped and become pregnant the best is to put the baby to adoption. It's understandable that a woman may struggle to raise a child of her rapist, but the baby also deserves a chance in live, doesn't matter who its father is.

Christianity only accepts abortion if the pregancy may result in mother's death.

I am 100% opposed to abortion. I believe that if you oppose abortion you should support charities that will support women with unwanted pregnancies. My former mother in law started a charity that collected and gave out free diapers and clothing, provided counselling services and support, and aided in the adoption process to make it easier for the pregnant women. The counselling was free for as long as they needed it and extended it to those who had gone ahead with an abortion and counselled them without judgement.

As a Christian I'm not going to tell anyone how to live. I'm just going to HOPE that they choose life. I'm going to pray that God puts that in thier heart.

Now having said that do I believe abortion is murder. You can try to whitewash it however you like. As a Christian I'll still love you even if you're a murderer. I think a lot of Christians lose sight of the fact that it's our duty to love our fellow man yes I have an opinion but I leave the judgement to God.

I do however think that a woman that has an abortion then comes in again for an abortion at that point should be sterilized. Think about it! It's best for everyone, including her.

My Russian aunt that lived in California is a Christian. before she passed away she lived a long full life she believes that you should keep the child unless it’s rape, but I don’t believe that I have mixed emotions but I believe that you can adopt child out. It’s not the child’s fault so don’t kill the baby

Why should a woman who went through rape, which is traumatic enough, carry that product of rape for 9 months, and give birth to it which is painful in itself?… im sorry but if the fetus is a product of rape, it holds no value or importance to the woman who is forced to carry it. She sees it as nothing but a curse, burden, and a result of her own assault so I don’t think most women would want to put their mental health and body through trauma just for a rape baby. I think that you can't mitigate one crime by committing another crime, especially if the first crime was committed by another person and was not your fault. This should not lead you to commit your own crime. Both abortion and rape are crimes but innocent child should not have to die for either of these things.

I may be shot down for this, but I believe that people who are anti-abortion but allow for exceptions like rape, incest or the health of the mother, are hypocrites. If the belief is that the embryo/fetus is a living human being, then what does it matter how it came into being?

In my opinion, the decision to have an abortion or not is a very personal decision that should be made by the prospective mother; no one else should make that decision for her.
