Does God understand that some of us are born gay and can’t help it?

Oh, wow. You're amazing and brave. I assume you believe in God, and are coming from a Christian perspective, and so I am going to respond in that context. It is my view that Jesus died for all and paid for all sin on the cross. He became sin Who knew no sin, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. If I have accepted Jesus' sacrifice for me and lived most of my life serving Him, but tomorrow, I go out and have sex with a married man and then die on the way home without repenting, am I under condemnation? No, because I am in Christ. Yeah, I sinned, but is the sin of adultery worse than the sin of pride (which most people ignore)? No. I know what I am saying is controversial, but God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. That means He didn't die for the "good" people; He died for "people". You are a person, He died for you. It is an illusion that we can ever be perfect or acceptable to Him, that's why Jesus died for us. God made you. He knows you. You are His. The question is, do you agree with that? Here's the deal: The greatest commandment is to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength". The second commandment is "Love your neighbor as yourself". Every other commandment is filtered through these. Every single Christian breaks these commandments regularly, which means straight or gay, the playing field is leveled. I will not tell you the rules, that is between you and God and the Holy Spirit will guide you in all wisdom. My job, as a Christian, is to love. That's it.

Nobody can say what a god thinks or says who hasn't proven their own existence. If they are supposed to be all forgiving then nobody has anything to worry about anyway.

What TheRealPepperPotts said is indeed correct. Jesus died for all of our sins period. But you should also consider the enemy that is trying to destroy humans and 'lead them away from God.'

It sounds like you have attractions but many aren't aware of how demonic spirits can influence us. When was the last time you put on the full armor of God? When was the last time you had deliverance to cast out demons? How often are you in the Word?

How this society is made up is to encourage sin. For example watching porn. Do you know that all porn is designed to encourage attraction of the opposite gender? Do you know that a lot of porn contains hidden subliminal that reprogram the mind?

In any case, how do you know that what you are feeling is you and not the influence of an evil spirit or subconscious programming?

I will give you a very simple example of a spiritual nature. I was at an Office job and a person complained about being harassed. I immediately noticed that it was spiritual so I said I would do a spiritual warfare prayer for them. Just one day after the prayer, the person who had been harassing them stopped doing so as if nothing had ever happened. Why? because the low level evil spirit that had got into them due to sin had been forced out through the prayer. I've seen many other cases of the same thing too. But consider the person who had been doing the harassment. They have no knowledge of the demon that left them or it's influence. They also had a personality change too, much more friendly, happy and a different energy.

You're welcome. I now have a new example that happened earlier today! I was on the phone to a friend and I was talking about the correct phrasing to use to cast out the spirit of cataracts. The idea is that each infirmity needs to be commanded to leave in Jesus' name. When as an example, I said 'I bind the spirit of cataracts and I command them to dissolve and come off and out of your eyes and never to return, in Jesus' name, I was explaining that the word 'again' should not be used after 'return'.

But after I said it they started coughing and choking up, there was a sound like something was leaving through their mouth and they said they fell onto their knees on the grass. After it left they felt different.

Thus another example of demonic influence we might not be aware of. Their eyesight also improved.

What makes you say that it's wrong? Sin, by its very nature, requires moral agency. You don't have that when it comes to sexual orientation.
