In my new workplace, a recent encounter with my crush left me puzzled. We had exchanged friendly waves and casual greetings, creating a pleasant rapport. However, a sudden change occurred when, in the cafeteria, she seemed to blatantly ignore my wave. Reflecting on it, I realized I had previously respected her engagement with a client and refrained from interrupting.
In the following days, an unexpected coldness lingered between us. It was only after some time that I discovered a friend had casually mentioned my feelings for her, prompting her swift dismissal. She did not mention my name. Despite the initial awkwardness, I decided to extend a friendly greeting once again. Surprisingly, she responded positively, even flashing a warm smile that reached her eyes.
The question lingering in my mind is: Why did my crush appear angry at me? If anyone has insights or similar experiences, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

You're obviously lying. When a woman is not interested in you and she finds out that you are, it's natural for her to become withdrawn. It is unlikely that afterwards she becomes friendly again, which is where you leave off, "flashing a warm smile". Is she angry or flashing smiles? Pick one
Flashing smiles :D Lol
She sounds like an emotional red flag for erratic behavior. If there WAS a legitimate reason for her to behave that way, like a boss said she was getting too friendly, then it is incumbent upon her, and she has had ample time, to explain that to you.
