Have you ever loved and cared about someone but you no longer wanted to be with them?

I know most long term relationships the passion and romance usually dies down or fades away. when you been with someone for so long , you care about them and love them , but you realize you really don’t have the connection and chemistry like you use to have with them before you don’t want to cheat on them but sometimes you feel like you do , and you don’t want to hurt them but sometimes you feel like you don’t care if you do or don’t. Do you think it’s best to just stay with them and hope things eventually get better? or is it best to just part your ways and go live your life the way you want it to be? I tried giving my ex wife another Chance , I still love her and care about her she is the mother of my children and we have a long history together , but sadly I don’t feel the connection and chemistry like we use to have any more , I know she loves me , even though we have our differences , she has been very sweet and loving to me but I feel I can’t give her back the same , like she deserves , I told her I want her to be happy and that I am ok if she meets someone else , I told her I still want to date other girls as well and she said she understands because she knows she hurt me , but she isn’t leaving my side , I know if I meet another girl she will be devastated, Why isn’t she giving up on me? Am I wrong to be open to meeting another girl? Is it cheating if I do? When I clearly told her I can’t give her the love she deserves. and that I want to date other girls’ still? Why would she stay by my side?

No matter how many issues, the chemistry has never been an issue. So if i want to leave someone, its because of certain negative traits about their behavior or future goals. If anything, the chemistry is whats always made it hard to leave because i dont like leaving behind one of the greatest things we had going

You said it right there, with the negative traits , that’s pretty much what I can’t handle with her , even though she has a good side to her , she also has a very negative side to her that gets me boiling inside to the point i either walk away or stand there and give it right back to her , She suffers from aevere anxieties , and her anxieties constantly leave a question mark over my head as to not knowing if she is being serious or is it just the anxiety talking , , why I can’t fully feel relaxed with her , she will be sweet and loving to me and then boom I am a POS , if i forgot to do something , she acts like it’s the end of the world , she can’t relax , if I finally sit down to relax , how dare I take a break , her mind is racing with so many things that need done at once , she can’t just unwind , and I hate that about her , if she doesn’t get her way it’s like hell to pay , She has a very selfish mindset like she is this baby that cries to get her way , I just let it go on one ear out the other but it slowly builds inside of me and then I snap , I don’t want to be with a girl that does that to me constantly, I hate to say it but I honestly feel I deserve better someone that wants to see me smile not someone that turns my smiles upside down if that makes sense

I can relate. A lot of the time he's doing other shit in the background. Last night i’d look up every now and again to check the superbowl score and he was gettin so pissed. He wanted me solely focused on him. Neither of us care for football but like dang if you can shop for truck parts during our conversations, why can't i checkout the score

Being cheated on changes our whole outlook on love and relationships, when we give our heart to someone and they turn around and shit on it , Cheating was something that never crossed my mind when I first got into a relationship with a girl , something I never even thought about or expected , because I treated her the same way I wanted to be treated in return , I only wanted her , or I wouldn’t of pursued a relationship with her to begin with , but when it happened to me the first time , my whole outlook on love and trust went out the window , making me realize that people can easily be selfish and your heart really means nothing to them , it took me a long time to even consider dating another girl again after I was cheated on , if it wasn’t for God , I don’t think I would of pursued another relationship again. Honestly God helped me see relationships in a whole new light made me realize to love yourself first and realize love is only a choice because we can’t force anyone to love us and stand by our side , they have to choose you the same way you choose them , if they don’t choose you like you choose them , then let them go and walk away , because God has something better for
You in store , God says when adultery occurs in a relationship, God says it’s ok to walk away , among other things as well like being physically and mentally abused it’s ok to walk away , but other than that , you should stand by your partners’ side and fix what is broken.
