I seriously believe the ship that took down the bridge in Baltimore was a terrorist attack. (I'll explain below). Do you believe it was terrorism?

I saw a different angle of the ship as it was approaching the bridge. This view shows the ship approaching the bridge from right behind the front of the ship moving forward. It showed the ship going straight and would have cleared the bridge but at the last minute it turned left crashing right into one of the bridges main pillars, bringing down the bridge.

QUESTION:
Why did the ship make it all the way from Singapore without any problems until the bridge was right in front of it? Then they claim they lost power. What a coincidence or was it planned?

They still haven't said a word about who was steering the ship and what nationality were the people on the ship. They could have been terrorist. We're all on board investigated?
There was a recent terrorist threat, I think from ISIS that they were going to destroy infrastructure in America 🇺🇸. The news jumped the gun very early in the morning saying it was not a terrorist attack before any investigation.
Why? Because Biden doesn't want to deal with a terrorist attack.

A pilot is responsible for conning a ship into and out of port. The Pilot is in command of the ship and is always a local man.

So he gives the orders on steering, not the captain of the ship. Neither necessarily steers the ship, presumably there is a helmsman that steers to the directions given. So I think that makes it extremely unlikely it was terrorism.

I got the impression the crew were largely Indian. At least some of them have left.

To be terrorism, it would mean that someone took the power out at just the right time to cause the collision. There is not going to be just one electrical circuit on a ship.

Doubtless there will be a court of enquiry and what happened investigated. I don't think it is reasonable to assume it was sabotage. We did see lights go out on the ship. Poor maintenance could be a cause for example.

There was a plume of black smoke and the lights come back on after the lights go out. An interpretation is the ships engine died than was restarted but died again. Not mine but a marine experts opinion.

No, there isn’t. Power failures almost always happen either entering or leaving port

That is the reason, Murphy’s law.
At sea they’re running sustained load, all systems are on and stay on. In port they’re under increased load during maneuvers, systems are turned off and back on, they take on new fuel, etc. That’s when things tend to fail

The ship was a Singapore flagged ship with Indian crew and 2 Baltimore harbour pilots on board as is standard procedure. They released their tugs once in the main channel as is standard procedure.
Their first blackout lasted for about a minute. Loosing your generators is about the worst thing possible as your mains are still running, but you have no control over steering, engines or anything else.
Then power comes back on, this where we see black smoke. This is a crash stop - engine full astern. Then power goes out again, and this creates another problem - with engines full astern and no control over the rudder, the rotation begins to pull the stern to port (left), causing the ship to begin to turn to starboard (right) towards the bridge support. This is called prop walk and is totally normal under the circumstances.
At some point they dropped their port anchor to attempt to slow down and counteract prop walk, but at that point it was far too late. Nothing suspicious, just the worst possible series of events at the worst possible time

@Jersey2 Id assume just bad maintenance. Oil and gas is pretty well regulated and monitored in North America, and I’m sure it would’ve been a problem sooner if it had been an issue with fuel from elsewhere

@Jersey2 Equipment failures on these ships are more common than you’d think, well trained pilots and crews are usually able to avoid any incident. We’ve had 4 or 5 ships dead in the water here in the last couple years

Until evidence shows otherwise, I'm believing that the ship lost power for a to-be-determine reason and went out of control due to tides and currents, striking the bridge.

I've only seen one video, it was headed straight for the pillar and there wasn't a turn but, I saw it as CBS posted it so, they might've cut that part out. I hear there was a mayday call just before they hit and saw a puff of black smoke coming from the ship just about the time it hit.

I take it you saw that video as well. It is very obvious in the video it was on purpose! A definite terrorist attack.
It is going to cause a lot of havoc on the east coast - especially with all those containers on the ship that won't get unloaded and put on trucks to supply food and other goods.

I also heard there was hazardous materials in the containers.

Then there is the terrible traffic jams it caused.

Don't let me forget the 6 people working on the bridge at the time of the collision that perished, another in serious critical condition in the hospital.

I doubt it was a terrorist attack. For one if it was a terrorist attack the terrorist would have already claimed it like the “terrorist” attack in Russia. Second this so-called terrorism attack took place around 1:30 am, don’t make sense. If I’m planning an attack I’d do it when it’s the busiest, when there’s a bigger potential of mass casualties. No it wasn’t, the ship was having mechanical problems and even warned the bridge authorities so that’s why there was only 5 vehicles on it only, they stopped traffic so it wasn’t a lot more. The people they lost were the ones working on the bridge. If they wanted to take out a lot people they would have done it during rush hour with no warning

Why did the ship break down when it did? When are ships supposed to break down: right after they leave port? Mid-journey? At the end of their journey.

I think they should build a brand new bridge near the broken one, and clean up the broken bridge as the new one is being built. I'm sure traffic is being detoured to so many different places now that the bridge is gone.
Other opinion's on here said why would they have cleared the bridge of the cars on it just before the ship hit it? They think because hardly any people died it wasn't on purpose. I believe it was.
You said it yourself that it's going to be very expensive to rebuild that one or a new one. And that is enough damage right there! Not to mention the inconvenience for all of the people that are detoured way out of their way for years to come. Plus the containers on the ship were going to different companies and now they're just sitting I
on that ship that looks like it's ready to sink.
