What are your thoughts about the September 11 attacks?

Though I might be late asking this question, but I can see it every year and I honestly don't know what was going on that time since I was just a baby. Did this affect the U. S. economy by any chance?

I was a high school senior and we were just getting started in homeroom when the announcement came over the intercom of this attack. Within an hour the second plane had hit and we were released from school and sent home. Spent the rest of the day staring at a tv as things continued to get worse in NYC. I don't recall it affecting the economy (wasn't something I paid much attention too then) but I sure know it riled up the country and soon a big hate for Muslims which you might expect when actually it was only a few demented ones who had anything to do with the attack with the entire race feeling the pain for some time.

I wasn't alive yet, but it makes sense why a lot of people consider that day traumatic and how the U. S. hasn't been the same since. I'd assume it impacted the economy in regards to changes in security and the continuation of fighting overseas.

Islam is incompatible with civilization. Although certain places can muzzle it, it will always remain the final enemy of righteousness. We need to watch them at all times like watching snakes in Australia. They will inevitably strike again.

It did, it also affected policy. Before 9/11 it was policy to give up the cockpit if a hijacker has a gun and is threatening the passengers. Now it's policy to not leave the cockpit for any reason. Airport security is far stricter.
