Learn to validate your own feelings. Acknowledge the negative sensation, find where it lives in your body and hold it for a minute. From there, you can usually do some deep breathing exercises, some primal screaming, or just having a private one-sided conversation to let out those feelings about whatever is making you feel that way. It also never hurts to rationalize it like “why does this person bother me? What is it about them that upsets me?” It helps to know yourself well and know a bit about where your own insecurities come from.


In the end, you can’t control the actions of others and you need to remember your happiness mainly relies on you. If your happiness depends on the actions or decisions of others then you’ll never be happy. Accepting your lack of control can be hard, and you still have every right to be frustrated with people, but it can help with learning to let go of those lingering negative feelings that make you want to bitch
