There’s a girl at work. I’m not close with her but we have a friendly relationship.

I passed by her the other day and she asked me if I’m going to this work party and I said yeah.

So I got to the party then my male coworker brought me outside and I was sitting with a bunch of guys from work.

When I was talking to them. I noticed she was walking outside. She spotted me came up to our table and first thing she said was __ you didn’t even come say hi to me!

no other girl at my job did this. Why did she expect this and was it flirting? My coworker thinks it was.

yes, but you gave the nerd commentary but what really happened was: she asked you to come, so she would know, someone familiar will be there.

she expected you would say hi, you understanding she wanted you to be at the party, so it wouldn't be awkward.

when you didn't , she complained that you should understand, she wanted to see you there! but you ignored her, despite the conversation before. when you knew it was important to her, if you would come.

but she was not interested and now thinks you are either clue less or spiteful... because you knew! she spoke to you before, but you didn't even say hi to pass the time

It really depends on her demeanor/the situation. Did she continue talking with you (more focused on you) or did she move on to some other fun ice breaker? Was she grinning when she said it? (It’s her way of joking and lightening mood) was she lightly smiling and looking at you? (She intends to form some kind of connection/memory, whether friendship or more) Was she pouty and acting cute, complaining that you ignored her? (She wants you bro, at least your attention.)

Don't ever pursue a romantic relationship with a colleague. It will become extremely awkward when you break up, and you both count be sacked.
