Guys, would you pretend to be not interested in a girl after she doesn't show interest?

I kept ignoring him cause I was unsure about his intentions while he continued to show interest in me (he had done something previously to make me doubt his intentions). He was my senior and graduated a year ago... we saw each other 9 months ago very briefly and I spoke to him nicely a few weeks ago cause I thought maybe he deserves a second chance but he was rude to me and tried to make me feel bad. I don't understand why did he behave this way? If he didn't want to talk he could have just ignored me?

It's likely he felt bitter because you rejected him when he was wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Ignoring someone is worse than turning them down, because it can can make it look like you think you're better than them.

I wouldn't say he hates you, but you probably really hurt his feelings.

Depending on how deep their hurt goes, you can probably recover from this. But regaining someone's trust will take time.

That's not a bad idea.

But if you want him to be interested in you, it's your move; he will feel as though you do not want or like him - so you'll have to approach him and express your feelings, or at least apologise to go from there.

I did try talking to him like I said but his response suggested he doesn't want to talk to me so what could I have done other than leave him alone?

As for telling him my feelings I wanted to do that but how could I? I mean when you feel like someone doesn't want anything to do with you how can you tell them your feelings?

I previously mentioned that it will take time for him to forgive and trust you again. The reason he liked you is still there, you just need to recover it in him; but currently he still feels hurt.

Not a bad idea for the moment. But if you have a crush on him you'll need to tell him eventually; I would ask him our for coffee as a gesture of recognition - this will repair his bruised ego and may smooth things out between you.

When (or if) you pop this question is up to you. I dont know how you are able to contact him, but asking him in person would be best. Remember, just like anybody, if you leave it too long they'll move on.

Whenever someone is asked out it makes feel good about themselves and honoured by the person who did it. I imagine this is why women say they prefer to be approached, but when it happens to men we feel the same way too.

I dunno like I said he hurt me on purpose and even I don't feel like talking to him though I do miss him.
