Mother Nature built women to give birth and raise children. To do that, women have a built-in desire to seek out male partners who can take care of them and their children. A wealthy man is an excellent choice.

In today's world, even though women as a group are not just baby-makers, that innate feeling is still there. Getting a mate who is well-off financially allows the woman to live a good life, without having to struggle. Who wouldn't want that?

They don’t, a job yes. Do people think about getting someone with a good job, yes. This is particularly true where people are living remotely and then it’s mainly to get out of there. On the whole no one worries about getting someone rich, guys don’t, girls don’t.

In my opinion being rich is just a bonus. But it is not something I'd actively look for in a partner. If they're rich because they worked hard to get there, congrats to them. But if they're rich because they had a silver spoon in their mouths their whole life, then meh.

So that they can be rich and live a comfortable lifestyle. Why WOULDN’T someone want a richer partner? You’d have to be stupid not to unless you’re rich enough yourself that it doesn’t matter. Being poor is not a virtue. But hey, if you want to struggle financially your whole life and have your kids struggle too, or even just work hard to make ends meet for a middle class lifestyle then go ahead.
