What should I do if a colleague is harassing me?

I usually work back shift and I was helping out in the day shift yesterday. There was another woman who looked like she was in her mid 40s she was sitting on the other table next time my table. I noticed she kept staring over to see how I was quality checking the plumbing pipes apparently I wasn’t checking them with enough force but I was taught that I just needed to give them a quick nudge to see if the washer would stay on the pipe. For that 2 hours she constantly complained about me to the supervisor and even my supervisor told me not to listen to her as she is hard work to deal with. But today I feel like not going back I felt extremely uncomfortable and intimidated to do my job.

First of all, harassment and constructive criticism aren’t the same thing.


Next, factory work isn’t easy, and if you’re in quality assurance you’d better get that s**t done right otherwise someone will suffer the consequence of your lack of precision.


Lastly, while she seems strict/harsh, she’s probably telling you that bc she started on the line just like you. In your place, I’d actually befriend her and ask her (before your shift) to show you exactly what she meant you should do. Then thank her and go about your work.

The thing is I was checking them correctly the way I was taught and didn’t require the over exaggerated force that she was telling me to do.

That’s the thing in that place one person tells you one thing and another person will tell you something different. I haven’t been in there for long

This is the problem when we only tackle issues in life from the physical plane. Most of our battles are not with the individual, but with the principalities behind them. I've lost count of how many bullying and harassment cases I've seen turn around very quickly (sometimes within a day), after spiritual warfare prayer. You say 'I’m already not turning up for the overtime today'. But if under normal circumstances you would have, then you are allowing those spiritual attacks to win. But none of this will make much sense unless you are a believer.

Sometimes older women have a one-sided beef with younger women in their workplace and start to harass, God knows why. Could be jealously. My girlfriend sees the same BS all the time. If she keeps doing it keep reporting her to your supervisor and mention it’s affecting your performance and making your not want to work.

I’m already not turning up for the overtime today and just going in my normal hours. But honestly on the fence with not ever going back

I would communicate more about how it’s making you not want to work before up and leaving. It while light a fire under your supervisor’s ass so they actually do something if the lady keeps harassing you. Otherwise if they don’t do anything you should leave.

They don’t even train you properly one person says one thing and the other tells you something else just ridiculous
