society in general is misandrist all across the world if we use the mainstream definition and misogyny and apply the exact same principles that are normalized into culture

men are still expected to "man up" and "do the right thing" regardless of whether it comes from the liberal side or the conservative side

men are still expected to sacrifice their lives for women, children and the elderly or they're not a "real man", sometimes and shamefully sacrificing their own dignity

in the west it becomes even more handcuffed where men are simultaneously told to "express their emotions" while also told to shut up and "stop whining"

men are told to be strong, brave, protective and masculine while also told to be a male feminist and believe in feminist propaganda. to insist on themselves being traditionally masculine but forbidden to prefer a traditionally feminine woman

but the real kicker here is that the mainstream definition of a "real man" isn't based on biology but a series of societal expectations enforced by the prevailing culture that best suits the majority of women

basically there is very little agency afforded to you as man whether it be your choices or preferences without any pushback

you'll often hear feminist complain about the "patriarchy", their evidence being the top 20% of men via the apex fallacy because those top 20% of men are considered "real men", not the bottom 80% of men who aren't considered "real men" and whom would debunk the whole "patriarchy" propaganda nonsense

so, is the average woman a misandrist? well, that'll depend on how much feminist programming has been instilled in her mind

women are always going to have expectations of men whom she'd be attracted to, question is, how willing is she to understand men have expectations of her

want a man who's tall, rich, funny, handsome? no problem. if she cries foul when that same man wants a woman who's fit, feminine, friendly and not hoeing around, then there's your misandry right there.

For sure. But in their defense, most of them don’t know they’re misandrist like 1950s men didn’t know they were misogynistic. It’s just ignorance. Men haven’t had a liberation movement like the ones women have had. Of those who are meaningfully informed, about half choose to continue to degrade, debase and disrespect men. The other half choose empathy. Those are my optimistic estimates. This is my optimistic face.

No but the general woman has been mistreated a couple times by guys and she has therefore learned to not trust guys. I would say that most women live by what they hear about guys but I´ve encountered few women that I consider misandrist in real life.
So I would say it could happen that you meet a misandrist but in my experience that´s not the average woman.

No- misandry is hatred. The lack of empathy most women (and a frankly appalling number of men) feel for men's struggles is rooted in apathy, not hate. Make them see the harm being done, and the pain being felt, and most women WILL feel sympathy.

I would say the average woman is capable of sympathizing with misandrist ideas without being totally conscious of it. They might like posts about “men are trash” on social media, but still depend on men for certain things in life and wouldn’t want to live in a world without men.
