Why do women/girls steal our hoodies, or favorite shirts?

First, Im not asking this in bad faith, I am genuinely curious. My wife of 10 years tells me its because it reminds her of me, and smells like me. For example, when im gone, my wife sleeps in my hoodie or my shirts because it helps her sleep. I realize its basically the same reason i sleep cuddling her pillows, because when she is gone they help me sleep.

I am sure there are more reasons than this, So please ladies, Spill, If you do this kind of thing i definitely want your reasons.

1. To tease you and see what you’re gonna do about it.
2. To have your scent close for just a bit longer.
3. To finally wear something more comfy. (Womenswear is usually more binding and uncomfortable.)


I’ve borrowed my man’s shirts on occasion and it led to some fun moments 😉, but I also had one semi-ldr and loved just having one of my man’s business shirts to walk around the house with on the weeks that he was away.


I’ve never kept anything for too long, though. The shirts were always “on loan”.


Hoodies? I don't know. I’m not a hoodie fan… but I would add “4. Because they’re warm” to the list above.

Definitely to be closer to the one they love.
There is a romantic trope where the man sees his woman is chilly and wraps his clothing around her which she gets warmer and thanks him. It could be that it resinated with the female audience and found it noble, charming, and a real turn on to be offered your lover’s shirt, hoodie, robe, etc. to stay warm.

They make mens clothes better than woman's. Better quality material. Woman's hoodies are tight and short. Mens are just... better.
