I just started taking birth control again after years of going without them and I have been spotting lately and very emotional like the littlest things make me cry or upset and I really don't like that. All I really want to know is this normal? Has any other female been through something similar?

Depending on the brand and strength it's supposed to regulate your system and therefore prevent other neurological issues. If you're struggling with mood swings (and are on meds OTHER than the birth control) then the pill may be jiving with one of your other meds... Either way it's important to go talk to a doctor about this bc it could be a few different issues that are private for you to discuss with your medical professional, not a bunch of amateurs online.
