I'd watched a few friends cross the milestone and I swore I would not be one of those sad girls whining about how it's all over at 30, but then life hilariously had other plans for me. I got diagnosed with a chronic illness after months of doctors doing endless testing and had just started medications a few weeks before my birthday which I had to take 9 of a day. On my actual 30th, my bestie planned a whole road trip and it was going great until I had to cancel the entire night of plans which we'd driven all the way there for, because I got violently sick. Then the next couple of years were just ups and downs of being sick, having to leave my job because of it, depression, soooooo can't say they were great. Maybe you'll have a better time of it, I hope for your sake!

Before I turned 30 I had a mini panic attack... "am I old now?"

After I turned 30, nothing changed. I am still me. I still get carded... I still get approached by men of all ages. I still love to dance. I still love all the shit I loved at 29...

Thrilling Thirties... It's a bit of a rollercoaster time, but great in terms of experiences, progress, and personal growth. You really come into your own in your 30s.

Would you believe I don't remember? All I will say is remember when you were a teen and little kids were annoying? And then how in your 20s teenagers are annoying? The trend really doesn't change LOL. I will say that I had a flash of feeling old when I heard the song "Gucci gang". I was like what the fu** is this and what happened to real music? Then I was like Fu** I think I might be old

I gave birth to my youngest :D

30 somehow didn't impress me much... but 37 looked scary AF, and don't ask me why... no fucking idea... :D

but it passed, and since then, I haven't troubled myself much about my age

It really is just a number because truly, what changes from the day before your 30th birthday at 29 and the next day, at 30? It actually didn’t even phase me at all, but I do believe getting into my mid 30s and 40 will be a big deal. Just a milestone really, it’s mostly just dependent on having self confidence and not letting society dictate when you are/aren't too old, desirable, whatever. The less you talk about it the more people will be inclined not to care, and the better for you.

Lmao when I turned 30 I started to learn that time is precious instead of wasting it. And also took better care of myself cuz I don’t wanna look old
