Girllll, your cousin sounds wayyyyyy too clingy! It's not normal for someone to expect you to be texting them 24/7 after one long convo.
You don't owe her constant contact or explanations for living your life when you're not together. She needs to learn to chill and respect your space too.
I'd be honest but gentle - tell her while you love talking, you can't be glued to your phone round the clock. Explain you need downtime to focus on other things sometimes without distraction.
If she gets mad, that's on her, not you. Don't let her manipulate you with guilt trips! Set that boundary now so she understands your terms, not hers.
Maybe suggest scheduling video calls on certain days for quality time vs random texts. Compromise so you both feel heard. But don't back down on your right to a life outside the friendship too!
You got this girl. Stand up for yourself in a loving way. Hopefully she learns to trust you care without the constant check ins over time. Your mental health matters just as much as hers!
Be honest be her about time management. Folks don’t have all day to be on the phone.
The texting would never stop honestly she will tell me she’s going to the shops and to the gym. She would also call me while she drives home. It’s too much
You can also put her on “MUTE”….
Tell her you don't have time to text her all day
