I see a lot more people taking selfies of theirs self. Do girls or guys take more selfies?

I think in general girls do this far more than guys do it. I think it is also true that in general we are way more social through our phones. I don't take a ton of selfies but have on occasion to send to friends if I am on vacation or something like that. Of my closest friend group I don't think any one of the guys has ever sent me a selfie or posted somewhere on social media (that I know of). Of my closest girl friends they do it all the time. Again this has a lot to do with being on vacation or some special moment. I don't get random ones from them "just because". If you look at social media though you will see girls are much more inclined to take and post selfies on average than the guys do.

Girls 100% take more selfies.
I see it as they are more ‘social’ and therefore will utilize social media to post images of themselves at a variety of places (not a negative thing, just something I’ve noticed)

Selfies of themselves opposed to what? If it wasn't a picture of themselves it wouldn't be a selfie.
