Is this a new modern way to lead people on now?

Let's say a girl gives you true genuine feelings. You're attached to this person, connected, and you have deep emotional conversations. Then, all of a sudden, she just ghosts you *poof*. Then when you try to see her. She acts like nothing has happened, and you're just a stranger /acquaintance to her.

Is this a new way to lead people on. Normally, when someone leads you on, you feel like you're being played, or is this a manipulated tactic, or was she giving me fake emotions.

I don’t know if it’s considered modern, but it’s definitely something people do.
I honestly would just move on. There’s nothing you can really do if she is t willing to talk or see you. Try to focus on productive stuff and when you least expect it someone will come along and give you the attention you’re looking for.

She won't talk to me either way, I'm trying to let go of the feelings I have for her. I lost my trust with women a long time ago.

I don’t know the context or timeline.

Usually people are feeling too deeply and bc trauma reasons pull away become avoidant.

She might’ve not known how you were feeling about her and said something that made her change.

She might be seeing other people.

That’s the main reasons I could think of right now.

She could be seeing someone else. My feelings with her are strong, and I've been trying to let them go so I can move on

Did you ask her what’s going on? Say something like: You thought you both had a connection going on but she seems distant. Is she interested if not respectfully you’ll both move on.

Sounds about right. She gave me tons of mixed signals, and then after I confessed my feelings to her, she breadcrumbed me, and then the ghost happened. She's been going to places I would go 😑
