How do u even respond?

So umm I was at work and I had to get my lunch from the front desk. Two females were sitting there and I said excuse me cos I needed to get the lunch. She said excused. I got so pissed but didn’t say anything. These two women are older than me but I’m new and I’ve noticed that they are always looking at me with such a disgusting look as if I took their property. It really pisses me off the way they act n look at me. What do I do?

In business setting, older women with fading looks will often be rude to the new girl, especially if she is more attractive. I know this firsthand, as a few of my videographers are quite lovely and older court reporters and female attorneys specifically ask that those people not be sent. As their work is exemplary, my only explanation is the aforementioned.

The advice I give in these situations is this: respond by outwardly ignoring their afronts while keeping an exacting log of all of their negative actions. You will use that log if needed should one of them try to get you in trouble or fired. Having dates and times is very helpful should any litigation arise.

Just return the energy, ignore them when you can and don’t bother treating them with respect back. You don’t have to go out of your way to be petty or disrespectful unless you want to but you don’t need to be polite with them either.

You can confront them and ask what their problem is but honestly some people just dislike you for random reasons sometimes.
