At a school local to me there is a 14 year old that identifies as a fox, the school has gone along with it at the behest of her parents with a litter tray provided in the girl's bathroom. I think the IBA is right in having separate XY and XX competitions. They don't accept transgender competing in XY competitions ether because they see the risk of severe injury as being too high.
