if you texted first last time he should text first this time and it should go back and forth. if you have fun talking to him just like stop in the middle and pick up with an excuse the next day otherwise take a day or two off depending on how lame the convo was. you sound like you own this dude when really you should practice working with him on things. you want to make patterns so that you understand each other and only break them when things actually upset you. I suppose it will happen without you thinking about it.

sorry I can't tell ya where I wanted to go with that but to finish I just want you to know that as a man we need your trust and sometimes we need time off almost to see if we will miss you and if you trust a guy to do that he will feel like it was worth it to come back.

Anyway, it seems to me that you're upset with the quality of communication so your plan is to withhold communication. Is that about right? If you you want to send him a message, why not do it by sending him an actual message? Here's the thing, conflict can be very constructive if you handle it constructively. Otherwise, it'll tear down a relationship/friendship real fast. Your response has to be solution oriented. You're proposing stonewalling him as payback. From your perspective, it may seem like a fair turn of the tables, but what problem does it actually fix? Try getting in touch, explaining how you feel, and focusing on a solution to the problem rather than trying to get back at him for pissing you off.

I'll answer from my point of view and 'experience' with a guy I'm texting now. We have long conversations (and by that I mean convos that last over a day at once) and we talk every few days; 3-5 days. And sometimes it's him who messages first and sometime it's me. The first time I wrote to him as the first one I was going back and forth in my head over whether I should write first or not for over an hour but I felt that I wanted to talk to him and know how he was because he hadn't written in a few days. It turned out he was glad that I initiated the contact and the conversation turned out really fun. So I'd say that you should not wait for him to always reach out to you if he's the one always doing it. He'll know that you're interested and you've thought about him. If you feel like talking to him just do it. He should appreciate it :-)

Just because he doesn't text you for a few days, that doesn't mean he disappeared. It might just mean he has a life. Are you two exclusive or just dating?

We're not even dating...we've only been texting for a week. I guess I'm worrying about nothing, but he texted me consistently for 4 days, and now its been 3 days with no contact. In a girl's mind, that is a bad sign and means that he lost interest. I guess men look at it differently, which is why I asked this question.
