He hasn't texted me in 2 days? Should I send a text or still wait it out?

This guy and I have been texting and hanging out consistently for about 2 months now. I'd like to think things are going well and we're taking it slow.

I'm a little worried because we hung out last Monday & had a great time. He went back to work (he's a firefighter) and so the texting was light but that was a given since he's working.

I haven't heard from him since Friday & there is nothing in our texts that indicate something was off. It's been 2 whole days and I'm not sure if maybe I should send a follow-up text and check in on him or just let him reach out? I'm feeling a bit anxious is all.

If he is the one that usually text first just wait it out and stay positive. Your subconscious works entirely in the now and so if you want to stay positive think about what if it all works out and what that would look like. Don't say it'll all work out. That is putting your mind in the reality that it hasn't yet. Think about what it will look like if it indeed does work out. What if it all worked out? That would be nice right?
That should help with the anxious feelings. Just know you are causing the anxious feelings by what you're choosing to think.

Thanks for this response, this definitely helps with the anxious thoughts.. I guess it just threw me off not hearing from him. I'll definitely do my best to wait it out & stay positive because I like the guy and we've been texting almost non-stop since we've met but I understand people get busy with their life/work.

Let him reach out. A lot of firefighters work 48 hour shifts. He may be really busy with work.

He tends to work a lot of OT so you're right he's probably busy. I just wish I got an update or something but I know I can't expect that when we aren't even boyfriend/girlfriend

I'm not a text person. I don't even carry my phone some days. I'll usually get back to people within 24 hours, but I'm also not a firefighter. That said, if he's one of those people where the phone is glued in their hands and he's still not responding, he's just not that into you.
