Weird girl situation?

A girl from my workplace, who I have known for over a year. I asked her out after fliriting and teasing her for a while. She always smiles, checks me out, and laughs from my silly jokes. She gave me her number and I texted her after a couple of days, and guess what got ghosted for 2 months now.. . I do not know if I did said something wrong.. all I said was I would love to take her to dinner.

After a month I kinda got over it and realized nothing will happen between us, until last Friday. A friend of hers told me she always talks about with her even after ghosting me telling her how handsome I am, that I smell delicious, and have great personality. I really don't know what this girl wants from if you ghosted me why talk about me and supposedly ask your friend to report it to me...

My gut is telling me she only wants my attention, but I would like you guys to answer this question as well.

It is important to mention she is older than me in a couple of years.
