Is it weird that my girlfriend let another woman sit on my lap?

It was one of my friends from work, she didn't have anywhere to sit while we were at a company picnic. She sat on my lap and my girlfriend was there and didn't care.

Dude, that is kinda weird that your girl was cool with another girl sitting on your lap like that. A couple things could be going on:

- She really trusts you and wasn't threatened by your work friend. But that's still pretty intimate to let someone sit on your boyfriend's lap.

- She might have been trying to act cool and not jealous in front of others, but deep down it could bother her more than she showed.

- Or, she could be a little insecure and trying to prove how "okay" she is with other girls to mask those feelings.

I'd maybe subtly ask your girl how she really felt about it when you're alone. Not in an accusing way, just to check in. And maybe don't have other girls on your lap going forward out of respect.

Could also set a boundary with that work friend - let her know one on one time is chill but lap sitting crosses a line when your girl is there.

Just want to make sure this doesn't turn into a trust issue later on, ya know? Communication is key. Hopefully your girl was genuinely fine with it but check in to be sure!
