Hmmm... I'm not 100% sure, but I guess the first thing is to be at least somewhat physically attracted to them... like not supermodel perfect as those standards are extremely unrealistic and harmful, but someone I'm at least mildly attracted to.

That's on the physical level since that's the first thing you see.

On a personality level... just the same general good stuff. Kind, gentle, helps others, affectionate, generous, etc. Hopefully gets along with me fine. Fine to be different but I'd hope we'd have at least some things in common.

As I see her I notice her body. I can't just appear next to her and I'm not averting my eyes. I check that body for shape, butt, and firmness. Bog breasts are attractive but not necessary. Then I hear her voice and look at her in the eyes. I take not of her way whether or not she is cold or warm. And of course her smile.
