Why do some people give you dirty looks even if you did nothing to them?

Went back to my hometown for a festival with friends and some chick I went to high school with that I never talked to and haven't seen in years gave me the dirtiest look ever. I barely even know her name and don't remember saying a single word to her ever. It was not just a funny look on her face either, it was an unmistakable bitchy glare.

This is not the only time this has happened, though it doesn't happen often. It's almost always another female. 🙄

True story: teachers in my school district get automatic invites from the student graduates led prom committees and many of us often went to the 10 year or 20 year reunion.
God as my witness I was talking to another student and he elbowed me and said "Watch this!" as he directed my attention to the buffet table and I saw my ex student Christina and some other girl I didn't know get there at the same time on opposite ends of the table and the MOST glaring death stare looks were exchanged and the girl I didn't know out of nowhere just said "Cunt!" and Christina replied with "Whore!" and they both turned and walked away as if they had just exchanged a chat about the weather! There's very few occasions that leave me speechless but that was one of them. The student and I was talking to filled me in on the history between them and the guy they fought over. I swear you women will take a grudge beyond the grave! Thankfully men are just stupid primatives and when they get into a fight theyre best friends again the next day after beating the shit out of each other. USA high school is a mind fuck!

There could be many reasons for such behavior that likely have nothing at all to do with you.

There could have been untrue gossip spread about you, or gossip that was twisted or misinterpreted.
It happens.

There's not much you can do about it short of confronting them as politely as possible in the moment that something like is actually occurring.
Good luck in trying that, though.

I'd say that it's probably better to just move on with your life.

She probably just doesn’t like you or she is jealous of you , she might of heard gossip about you and that gossip made her dislike you , whatever the reason maybe , just ignore her and act like she doesn’t exist. It could be a vibe thing. Maybe the women find you attractive so they feel threatened by you; that's definitely a small town thing. Also, sometimes people just be strange that way.
