Do modern women really sleep around to feel liberated?

Question

I live by that saying "Action speaks louder than words" and these same exact women always contradict themselves via their actions.

these women who claim they have sex to feel liberated are usually the same exact women who have sex with you tonight and cling on to you forever starting tomorrow. they will call/text you nonstop, stalk you or whatever it is to force themselves into your life thinking that one night of sex is an instant relationship or whatever it is that they felt entitled to by having sex with you.

this is the total opposite of liberation if you ask me. I mean if your intentions really are to feel "liberated" then you will have sex and move on with your life to retain that liberation; while expecting the person you had sex with to do the same in return. by expecting any sort of commitments or attachment after the sex is over then your intentions were never about feeling liberated, this sounds more like RESTRAINMENT to me.

so with that said I think is never about "liberation." this is just another cover up used by these women to disguise their insecurities and feel validated in return.

No idea, I don't really pay attention to the dating world and only care about the notion of romance long enough to make the sale these days

But if I go back 15 long years I can recall genuinely feeling sick throughout the couple of weeks of sex ed and any mention of sex was enough to turn me green
Fast forward a few years and I met my first girlfriend (well before we got to that point) 2 years older and highly intelligent so we spent ages talking about books we were reading and the news without anything going on and eventually I confessed via some bullies to loving her and she made a move on me that I honestly thought was purely to prevent my humiliation but we ended up dating for 5 months before she took the lead to the next level because it was clear I wasn't going to, I don't even recall being present for that part of the next few months but it could have been my brain insulating itself or the amount of vodka I'd sunk
She had to leave for family reasons and that was a bad time I gave her the Christmas present I'd bought and went into a self destructive state of solvent abuse because I could get it
(Is 8am too early for a scotch because now I'm sad and need one, fuck it)
I can only say that I was lucky my second girlfriend was about then and that was a much shorter portion of life, I can't even say it was truly love because maybe it was the fact of going too deep before but I can't say I would have seen us getting married but without it I'd probably be dead but she just took her opportunity to make clear she was interested in me whilst I was completely inebriated and I was so thrown by the whole situation plus the collective effects of exhaustion, weed and booze coursing through so we just ended up dating and she got me away from solvents but she left but Id insulated so I didn't go off the rails just dedicated to my work so technically I quit dating then at 17 but hey I turned 18 and spent the next year on dating sites to no avail and on new year's eve a week after turning 19 deleted them all forever
I don't really know about the question but I've not seen it and well compared to the vast majority of my roughly same aged associates I'm basically hypersexual so I'd feel I would have

Here's what I notice. They're taking every negative stereotype about men from the 1990's and trying to become whatever that is... just females doing it now.

Just another trend and I've been watching trends come and go since the early 80's.

Inexperienced women and men often think sex is solely for fun and they'll have a party by having sex with multiple partners and avoiding commitment.

But the human psyche is more complicated than that.

On the other hand, some people seek love THROUGH sex. Another way not to get to love.

The most sensible way is to slowly get to know a person, discover their values and how solid they are. See what you have in common, and see that your differences are interesting, or, at least, 'acceptable.

The only reason to sleep around is to have lots of sex. Lots of sex doesn't liberate you, it isolates you because you're spending your time NOT having relationships. And, there are few people who think that a laundry list of former partners and no relationships indicates stability or a person who's relationship material.

Well used to be women could get stoned for sleeping around. Now that it's not such a huge tank to your safety or reputation, or risk for your heath, it can feel liberating to just be able to sleep with anyone you want without having to worry about all that...

Personally I don't sleep around, i don't like casual sex. I do think it exists tho (the people who don't usually also think plain old Nudity is sacred and/or obscene, so I don't trust their scale for importance).

I agree with the pic. Sex is never causal. It's literally the closest you can ever be with another person. Bodies becoming one. It just can't be causal no matter how much people want it to be that way
