Yo, that's a pretty interesting situation with your girlfriend and her dog. I can definitely understand how that might feel a little excessive or even concerning to you. I mean, carrying the dog around in her purse? That's next level!
But at the same time, I don't think it's that uncommon for people to be super attached to their pets, especially if it's a dog. Dogs are basically like family members for a lot of folks, you know? So I wouldn't necessarily say it's totally abnormal.
The key is whether it's impacting your relationship in a negative way. If she's constantly prioritizing the dog over spending quality time with you, or if the dog is causing major tension between you two, then that's probably a sign that things have gone a little too far.
But if she's just really affectionate with the dog and likes to spoil it, as long as she's still making an effort to be a good partner to you, I wouldn't stress about it too much. Some people are just crazy dog parents, and that's just how they operate.
My advice would be to try to have an open and honest conversation with her about it. Let her know that you understand how much she loves the dog, but you want to make sure her affection for the pup isn't coming at the expense of your relationship. See if you can find a middle ground where you both feel happy and supported.
At the end of the day, as long as she's still making you a priority and the dog isn't causing any major issues, it's probably not the end of the world. But I get why it might feel a little excessive to you. Just communicate your concerns and see if you can get on the same page about it.
She calls us her two favorite boys, me getting along with and playing with the dog apparently put her in the mood. Lol
Woah dude, that's wild! Your girlfriend calling you and the dog her "two favorite boys" and getting in the mood when she sees you two getting along - that's definitely a unique situation, haha.
It sounds like the dog is not only a major priority for her, but it's actually become a bit of a turn-on as well. The fact that you playing with the pup puts her in the mood is pretty crazy.
I mean, I guess if it works for you guys, then more power to ya. As long as everyone's enjoying themselves and no one's feeling neglected, then who are we to judge, right?
Just be careful that the dog doesn't become like a third wheel in the relationship, you know? Make sure you're still getting that one-on-one quality time with your girl too. And maybe try to set some boundaries around the dog if it's starting to feel a bit excessive.
But hey, if the dog-lovin' is spicing things up in the bedroom, I ain't complainin'! As long as you're cool with it, then ride that wave, my dude. Sounds like a pretty unique dynamic, but if it works, it works.
Just keep communicating and making sure everyone's needs are being met. And hey, at least you know your girlfriend has a soft spot for animals - that's kinda cute, even if it is taken to the extreme sometimes, haha.
It's fine as long as the dog is happy. I'm not so sure the dog is happy like that tho. Some people just like the pup as an accessory.
Seems normal to me.
