What would you do if you saw someone put something in a girls drink?

The thing is why i ask this, its happening so often and i would love to know what would you do in that moment if you discover it. For me i would call the cops and tell the girl thats something is in her drink and ask some guys to help.

I would take a photo of the guy or video (discretely as possible) then inform the girl once she comes back that a man spiked her drink and to not drink it… I would comfort her while calling the cops also asking guys & girls in the restaurant/bar/pub to track down the guy in the photo & video to make sure he doesn’t get away with it and the cops punish him.

You clearly care deeply about this issue and so do I, I learned this in Health Class and there are people who still don’t understand or pretend its not even a thing… There are guys justifying what Bill Cosby utilizing uneducated people on this topic to spread the notion “it wasn’t that bad” or “wouldn’t they have smelled something” or “they accepted the drink so they are at fault” which is moronic & damaging.

*Don’t leave your drink unattended, make sure you see the drink being poured from the glass of the bartender to ensure nothing weird was put into it.
For Heaven’s Sakes, it isn’t the victim’s fault if they get date raped. It is the rapist’s fault for putting the drug in the drink. This is just two big pieces of advice to prevent women who would be victims from ending up in this rape shit.

Two people you knew were affected directly by it and it is good that you used this as an opportunity to talk about the issue at hand for education & prevention.
I learned about date rape from health class as I said, which made me emboldened to speak out and educate where I may. It is disgusting and preventable also justice is in our grasp. God Bless You!

If I saw that happen I would make sure she doesn’t drink it. Would get the attention of the bartender and may have to confront the jerk who put stuff in there. It can be very dangerous.

I'm snapping a pic of the person, and telling the girl. After I tell the girl, I call the police, send them the pic and keep it on my phone. Telling the girl isn't enough, because if the person had the courage to do it the first time, they'll just do it again to someone else who doesn't have a potato watching their backs.

I’d find a way to tell them without the person who put stuff in her drink knowing. The person who put something in her drink without her knowing is, generally speaking, an at least semi-dangerous individual and I wouldn’t want to put her more at risk then she already is.

This happened in front of me once while working a bar, I’d just served the woman’s drink when I noticed a guy lingering to off to one side, when I saw him take a vial out of his pocket and while the woman was distracted he dumped the vials contents into her glass and then put the vial back into his jacket pocket, he then moved away, as he did so I removed her drink from the bar and replaced it with a fresh one, I then called my supervisor over told him what I’d seen and to quietly call for the police, when they arrived I told them what I’d seen & done and indicated the glass of doctored drink hidden under the bar top. The cops then arrested the guy for “Attempting to administer a noxious substance” when they found the vial in his jacket pocket, while calling for a Scene of Crime Tech to come and seal/collect the drink and take my prints for exclusion purposes. I attended the local Police station the following day to give a statement and then court a couple of weeks later where the guy was found guilty and sentenced to 18 months in jail.

The woman did not know what had happened, or that her original drink had been tampered with.

Okay, it is going to be unoriginal now that a certain voice of reason had already spoken... But I would first get rid of the spiked drink. Maybe, just maybe, I might buy the woman another drink. I could report the man to the security to search for more brainwashing drugs like the one he put in the drink, but I would probably avoid calling the police. For all I know, they might ask me why did I realize what was happening in the first place... And since no harm would happen, I might feel bad about sending a man to the absolute hell that prison is for men who are not career criminals, especially those accused of sexual abuse, for a deed that did not even come to fruition.

The only time I am in a bar is when I am DJing, and I only witnessed this once, and even then I couldn't be sure because the angle was bad. I immediately informed the bouncer, and he had the bar replace the drink and ejected the guy.

I didn't push things any further for several reasons - as an event performer, I had limited status at the bar, and I had $10k in equipment that I couldn't protect if things got really stupid. The main thing is that the girl was protected.

in my opinion, messing with anyone's food or drink needs to be a felony and treated seriously. That's just as true with spitting on someone's food or whatever else.

In our club we had cameras everywhere and this was something we really monitored , we did have it happen a couple of times , so I guess some did get though , I dont know what they'd try and put in , coz a roofie would be a waste of time..

Maybe something Amfed based , or an "e " taken willingly , but "e's " are not good unless you have a bunch taking them , but I saw evidence that it happened , mostly outside , or willingly in the toilets I guess.

They have a show called "What Would You Do?" in the US where they have a hidden camera and they did this scenario, with actors as both roles but the witnesses as unsuspecting strangers. Someone always called him out on it, and/or told the girl.

I seldom frequent a place where I don't know the bartenders, the waitstaff, or the owners. I'd get the bartender's attention and signal him to call the cops. I'd tell a female friend to intercept the woman and keep her away from that drink (quietly). And I'd chat up the guy, even buy him a drink to keep him there until the cops arrive. Then I'd give them a written statement of the whole thing. If the guy tried to run, I'd follow him and get a plate number for the cops.

When someone puts pharmaceuticals in your drink they are basically admitting that they only care about their wants and that they lack the social skills to to achieve those goals. Narcissist maybe. If I saw it being done I would find a way to spill it and let the offender know why I did spilled it. If I knew the bar keep I would ask to see the individuals credit card receipts to get the name and report it to the police.

But as a man, a default Public Enemy Number One, I would have second thoughts. First, it will be hard to prove... Second... Do I have the right to send anyone to the hellhole that prisons are for men these days, especially if no one was actually hurt? If I failed to save the eomam from the spiked drink, I would definitely either save her from abduction or avenge her by reporting the man to the police. If I did manage to save her, though... It might depend on who I am in the club with at that time. If I was there with some friends or my hypothetical girlfriend, I would probably act lawful. I would tell the girl and described the guy to her. I would leave it to the girls decision as to call the cops. Since no harm was directed to me I don't think I could make a police report. I would bear witness though.

Locally the police investigated girls reports of being drugged. The finding was it was very rare and the girls making the reports were just drunk as with high blood alcohol.
