Ladies, what do you think when you see an attractive man eating by himself?

When a man is eating by himself, what do you think? Are you wondering why? What's his story? Should you politely talk to him? Or you don't care?

It depends. If the guy looks like he’s working or occupied then no, I don’t wonder.


If the guy is looking fretful I’ll at least ask if he’s ok though it’s none of my business… Good Samaritan and all that jazz….


If it’s a nice day and we’re just both there on our own (and he doesn’t seem creepy) it’s natural to either give a nod or reply if he says hi. Nothing crazy.

I'm embarrassed to say but in highschool, my friends and I would quietly pick on people that were at a restaurant eating alone 😔 Now, I just make up a happy story in my head as to why they're alone. For example, they're driving cross country to visit family they haven't seen in years and got hungry but hate eating in their car.

If he's attractive I might enjoy the view. It's unlikely I'd talk to him unless an opportunity came up and a signal he welcomes it.

Why would i wonder? That’s none of my business. People can eat alone, without couple, or with a group.

I people watch, I sometimes try and figure out what other's stories are, especially when I'm waiting for my own food.
