Ladies, what do you think when a guy puts food on your plate?

I was at this sushi restaurant tonight and saw this man and woman sitting and eating. No homo I was kind of checking this dude out as he looked pretty smooth and had some swag. So as the plates were being brought out I noticed he did the same thing everytime- he would take his chopsticks take food from the plates being brought out and served to them.. put it on his woman/dates plate first and serve her then serve himself. It was a small gesture but it looked like a smooth move. Ladies, what would be going through your mind if a guy did this for you when eating out? I'm thinking of doing it on my next date if it sends the right message :)

Its a very polite/chivalrous thing to do and she'll probably be impressed. Ask her if she wants it before you put it on your plate though. She might not like certain things and feel pressured to eat them if you just heap them on her plate. To me though, it would feel like pressure anyways since someone else would have control about how much I ate. I've had an eating disorder, its completely over, but I still like to be in control of my own portions.
If you're not sure about how to do it, its also a plus if you offer her the chopsticks to get food first before taking some yourself. Same gesture, less risky.
