Does a guy eating off of your plate imply anything?

A guy friend of mine that I have known for years steals food off of my plate pretty much every time we eat together even if we're eating the same meal. How should I take this? Does this mean he likes me? Is there any kind of symbolism to this or am I just reading too much into it?

It implies that he is comfortable around you, and doesn't anticipate that you'll object to strongly to his behavior. Also, he isn't a germophobe.

Beyond that, it doesn't really mean anything. Don't over-analyze everything, especially not with guys. Our rivers don't run that deep.

There's an obvious symbolism to this; it means he wants to steal you from your significant other.

Stealing your food is just a veiled invitation. He's too much of a 'friend' to say it to you directly, and he may not even be aware that he has this desire!

You are reading way too much into it.  You wish it meant something? To me, it just sounds like he's gotten too comfortable and you let him get away with being rude like that so he eats your food.

most likely trying to be playful, if you don't care for it, tell him to git his own food. otherwise git into it, offer him a bite off your fork, or take a piece of food with your fingers and pop it in his mouth.

Reading too much into it, he's hungry, your food looks good, he wants to try it and he is comfortable sharing.  May mean he's comfortable, but hard to speculate if he likes you...

Nothing, other than he's super hungry.  I only eat off a girl's plate if I know she isn't going to get mad about it, otherwise it's just rude, but that doesn't mean I have any feelings for her.  At best you can take it as a sign that you don't have cooties.

A) really comfortable with you

B) A jerk who takes whatever he wants

C) Always hungry

I don't think you can read into anything with that alone but I"m sure if there was more context it would reveal things.

I'd just consider him rude actually. idk, I've had men and women do this to me. It's not that they are comfortable it's that they assume it's OK. It drives me nuts actually. Hate it.

Does he do that to other similarly close friends? If he does, I wouldn't read anything into it. If it's just you, he could like you.
