Does this sound too “feminist?”?

I’m starting a new blog focused on confronting the misconceptions often directed at women and am aiming for a tone that’s empowering without crossing into bitterness or victimhood. I definitely don’t want it to come off as man-hating. Below is the first part of my bio, and I’d love your thoughts on whether it strikes the right balance or if it sounds too feminist.

“I’m plotting the greatest learning and unlearning of all the bullshit that has kept women second-guessing their worth. We’re unearthing the lies we’ve been told about our potential and our roles, and rebuilding with what we know to be true about our power. As women, we are claiming rightful ownership of our narratives. It’s time to trust our own guts and live our lives on our own terms.”

Does this intro convey empowerment effectively, or does it lean too much towards a feminist tone?

Too much into feminism, feminism is ruined, you'd have it better if you just created your own thing that stands with real feminist values although in today's world women have scarred feminism so deeply that women speaking from any form of oppression will make them look like man haters simply by how much everything women say has not just been repeated but it's been their self validating excuse to hate on men, making this the whole topic of your podcast will not just look sexist but if the podcast ever catches on then the algorithm will most likely throw all your content in with the men hating sexist women posts which will most likely attract the crowd of sexist women which will just ruin your whole podcasts reputation and you will be no different than the sexists at that point according to any media.

Thanks for your input. it’s a valid concern given today’s polarized views on feminism. My goal, though, is to focus on what feminism fundamentally stands for which is empowering women to take charge of their lives.

I want to help women make smart decisions and setting strong boundaries. I want to help them move through life confidently and see to it they’re not steamrolled by the selfish gains of others.

This might be misinterpreted by some as too feminist or even divisive. That’s a risk I’m willing to take because the conversation needs to happen. I’m here for those who are looking for empowerment and a bit of guidance on how to assert themselves. Not everyone has to agree, but for those who do, I hope it makes a difference.

don't start a career discussing this shit online in front of an audience. you're not prepared for the hate you'll get. besides. it's a fight against windmills. the people who get it don't have to be told and those who don't get it, probably don't care.

I appreciate the caution and understand where you’re coming from. This isn’t a path I’ve chosen lightly. For many years, this issue has been a constant presence in my thoughts, compelling me to speak up and act. I’m not new to this. I’ve been deep into these discussions for years and am now starting a new platform to approach these topics from a fresh angle, focusing more pointedly on women’s agency in their lives.

I’m aware this won’t be easy and that not everyone will care or agree. Some might even misinterpret my intentions, but those who are smart and open-minded will see the value in what I’m doing, as they have so far. Staying silent would be a disservice to what I stand for and to those who share these concerns but feel they can’t speak up. The potential backlash is something I’m prepared for, and if anything it’s a testament to the importance of these conversations.

At the end of the day, I need to know I’ve done everything I can to address something that matters to me. I’m committed to seeing it through, come what may.

You can do that on the side. Making that a career Is not a sustainable choice in my opinion. Like nothing wrong with trying if you really want to but let's face it the podcast/YouTuber market is over saturated

Definitely. I’m actually starting this on a subscription based blog and newsletter platform, where I own all my content. I maintain a full time job and do this when I’m not working.

I’m still setting it all up. This isn’t going to be heavily news based. It’s going to be based largely on advising individuals in their personal scenarios.

My biggest advice if you want feedback on your writing is to go directly to a community of other writers. This is not the right place to pitch your piece, because of the audience you’re pitching to. They’ll give much better feedback with a lot of them having previous experience writing think pieces. Here, there may be a few sensible men but they get muddled in with the rest of the sexist, arrogant woman haters with deep chips on their shoulders lashing out at women here because they can’t get one IRL.

Make the blog about encouragement, motivation and living a good life. I feel that feminism aims to control and manipulate women.

I think it's fine except for this part --> "unearthing the lies we’ve been told about our potential and our roles". If you're trying to avoid victimhood, you may want to reword that part.
