Is this normal or should I be worried?

Hey so I have come here needing advice as I’m not sure who to contact basically when ever I start my periods I get these strong pains that feel like contraction because of that I have been to my GP twice now anyway the last time I went my GP she gave me these medicine to take (Mefenamic Acid) I took one last night and even though the pain has subsided now the bleeding is still there and my body is trembling it started with my legs and now I’m sort of trembling in my arms to! I’m getting hot flashes on my cheeks and forehead as well again that is not part of the medication symptom.

I do not know if the medication has worn off now and if it’s just me worrying that is causing the hot flashes as the trembling is the only symptom I am getting! I took the medication at 1:45am it would be 8 hours by now does that mean my medication has now subsided and I’m worried for no reason and the trembling is just a side effect I am having after the medication?

I have contacted my GP but they have not contacted me back yet!

Unfortunately I can't relate as I have never had to take that medication. I have had my fair share of bad periods but it isn't often enough to really have to worry or have medication other than the birth control that I am on that regulates my hormones somewhat. That is something that happens over time as my body got used to the changes. You really need to go see your gyno. While your GP is a good place to start for immediate help you want to talk to a gyno and get a more permanent solution. Pain meds are not good to take over a long period of time and it sounds as if you have a more chronic issue. I have had friends that suffered from severe symptoms of PMS and all of them sought guidance from their gynos. That is my best advice.

Yeah, I’m sure it sucks but you’re going to have to see the doctor again

They haven’t contacted me but I think the trembling is because it’s a strong medication and I’m not used to it I will only take it if I’m in pain but I’m just worried about the trembling I might go to the pharmacy later on and talk to them about it and see if the trembling is just normal cause I can stil walk

A normal pain during periods are ok , but strong pain can be any serious issue please go for the doctor as soon as possible

They gave me strong pain medication which is what I have taken but the after effect I’m having is trembling when I stand up I just feel like I want to drop to the ground

Are you fasting this ramdhan?
Sometimes dehydration cuase pain there

I was doing Ramadan before I got my periods than I had to stop could be I haven’t eaten well

Yeah ik you can't fasting during periods, anyways i suggest go for better doctor and hope best for you..
I wonder are you Indian or pakistani?

Period cramps are normal

No I mean mine was soo bad they gave me strong pain meds that have trembling as a side effect
