I live with my mom who drinks alcohol. I’m a Muslim and do not drink at all. My mom decided to borrow my work given travel mug without my acknowledgment and used it to drink beer with. She claims she used other cups at home and I never complain. I know I can wash the alcohol away however her action was not considerate. I would never use something of hers in a way that would contaminate it.

I assume your mother is not Muslim or a nonpracticing Muslim?
Non Muslim
Follow her lead.
Notice: She is happier and she doesn't have so many constraints on her freedom.
As to your original question: Was it inconsiderate? Yes, but only because you have a ridiculously uptight rule that you are folling because of your ridiculously uptight religion.
She didn't raise you to be a Muslim, did she?
So, what that means is that you converted and are likely a neophytes. Generally, neophyte converts to any faith or ideology are usually very uptight about adhering to the rules that they decided to apply to themselves by following their newfound conversion beliefs.
Bottom line: If you don't like it, move out. If you are "(25-29)", you are old enough to move out and get a job, Allah willing. That, or get married and be nice and subservient to a Muslim husband.
